Account & Data Deletion Instructions

You can permanently delete your RNKX account and associated personal information directly inside the app. You do not need to create another account, add a password, email support, or wait for manual approval.

Delete your account in RNKX

Open RNKX and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Open Profile.
Scroll to Account & Data.
Tap Delete Account.
Review the permanent-deletion notice and tap Delete Account to confirm.

Deletion is completed from the app. RNKX removes the authentication account and account-linked personal information, signs you out, and shows a completion message. If you signed in with Apple, Apple may show its standard confirmation sheet so RNKX can revoke the associated Sign in with Apple authorization.

If you cannot access the app

The in-app process above is the fastest option. If you no longer have a compatible device or cannot access RNKX, you can submit a web-accessible deletion request by email. This is a fallback and is not required when you can use the in-app Delete Account button.

Submit deletion request by email

Security: RNKX will never ask for your Google, Apple, or Facebook password, a one-time sign-in code, payment-card number, or unrelated identity documents. A fallback request may require reasonable verification using information already associated with the RNKX account.

What will be deleted

After you confirm deletion in the app, RNKX deletes or de-identifies:

Your RNKX authentication account and Firebase user identifier.
Your private and public RNKX profile, including email, display name, age range, gender, optional city, interests, consent choices, rank, badges, and contribution totals.
Your saved notification tokens and notification preferences.
The text and public identity attached to your comments and replies, plus your reactions.
Pending community poll and option suggestions associated with your account.
The account link, optional location fields, and other personal attributes attached to individual vote records. Aggregate poll totals remain without an account link.
Other personal information directly associated with the account that we are not required to retain.

Deleting your RNKX account does not delete your separate Google, Apple, or Facebook account. Manage those accounts directly with the applicable provider.

Information that may be retained

We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud and duplicate-vote prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, child safety, moderation, or enforcement of our Terms. This may include hashed installation vote locks, records of moderation actions or reports, and information required to document the request. Backups may retain information for a limited period until they are overwritten under our normal cycle.

Aggregated or de-identified poll totals and insights that no longer identify your account may remain. Public content may be de-identified instead of removed when necessary to preserve the surrounding conversation. We will not use retained information for unrelated purposes.

What happens next

In-app deletion is processed immediately and the app signs you out when it completes. Verified fallback requests submitted because the app is inaccessible are normally completed within 30 days. We will explain any lawful retention or permitted extension.

Account deletion is permanent. After completion, you will lose your profile, reputation, badges, account-linked activity, and the ability to recover that RNKX account data.

Guest users and data stored on a device

If you never created an RNKX account, the app may still have created an anonymous Firebase session and local guest-vote records. Clearing RNKX app storage or uninstalling the app removes data stored locally on that device. Server-side vote records and hashed installation vote locks may remain to protect poll integrity and may not be reasonably linkable to your identity.

If you want us to review a guest-data request, email the address above with the device platform, approximate vote date, and relevant poll link. Do not send device passwords, advertising IDs, or unrelated device information.
